Thanks a ton for this write up!. Your blog helped me a lot during my solo trip to meghalaya for a week. Just came back from the trip and thought of adding a few updates. It will get dark as early as 5pm and advisable to have your winter gear on and plan your day so that you wind up by 5 pm, While riding from sohra to dawki especially after mawryngkang detour point, the last stretch for about 20 odd kms the roads were unforgiving till dawki, during which you can’t ride more than 5 kmph. Traffic congestion around dawki was unbelievable with all the tourist vehicles lined up. But then the route from dawki to shnongpdeng was ok. From there to jowai was a smooth ride, even the ride from jowai to shillong was cool. Anyways thoroughly enjoyed the trip and again a very big thanks to you!

In March yes, the waterfalls shall be very dry! Best time is September.
Bike yes you can, just need a drivind license
